You wouldn't know he is a Mama's boy

Conner is a mama's boy for now. I am home all day everyday with him so it is inevitable he is going to be a mama's boy.... right?  You wouldn't know that looking at this picture. He is giving all his lovins to Daddy! He is as happy as can be just hanging out with him. I guess I let this one slide.

Nature Fights Back.... and Wins

It's always said that a picture can tell a story. This one may look like an ordinary picture to any outsider, even boring, but to me it tells me two stories. These chickens and rooster are few of many we have here on the farm and although their fresh eggs are yummy, these little birds are a bit of a pain in the butt. They leave little surprises EVERYWHERE. Call me crazy but I swear they do their business on the walkway on purpose. But a new habbit they have come to enjoy is to make their way into the back yard just at the moment I put the little boy down for a nap and chuckle and COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO! I then have to run outside and chase them off with the broom before they wake him.

This picture also reminds me at the time a year ago today I was awful sick from the pregnancy. Morning sickness, afternoon sickness, night sickness the whole nine yards. Granted I didnt feel up to working in the garden last year, this year it shows. Where there were once beautiful lillies, hostas, and wood chip mulch there is now different families of weeds overtaking, drawling in the bugs, which (and I get to my point now) drawls in the chickens! I guess you have to give a little to get a little. In this case for exchange for the eggs they get their kicks by pissing me off everyday. Got to love them!

It is the little things about your baby that you want to remember in detail, when he is all grown up and no longer wants to cuddle with mamma. Every day as I fall more and more in love with him. I try so hard to capture everything, because I know how fast time flys. When years pass by and I look at a picture like I am sure I will do with these two I will remember very easily the stage where he spit bubbles all the time, or those chunky little hands that reached for my fingers when I fed him.

On The Farm

Right now is calfing season. That's when all the mama cows are going to have their babys, it last about a month. It is definatly my favorite time on the farm. This little guy pictured above is only hours old. When they first get up on their feet they bounce and kick around as if to say "look at me look at me!" They have fun chasing our hound dog around and running him off. The most interesting thing to me is that the mama cows are so protective of these little babys. They are normaly a little shy any other day, but whenever we have to tag the new babys and check to see if they are a girl or boy they stay right by their side and carry on a big fuss. Sometimes they get ballsy and like to head but you (this is why I stay my distance most of the time) I have a huge respect for such a large animal ecspecialy when protecting their little baby. I have to say sometimes I feel like headbutting people that are tossing my little guy around like he is a little puppy or something. We experienced a lot of this this past holiday weekend. For the most part he loves all the attention but can get overstimulated easily, thats when he wants his momma. Maybe we are more like animals than we think?

This little boy had a wonderful 1st easter. Baskets full of candy (for mom and dad of course) Money for his piggy bank, and lots of stuffed bunnys. It was a very eventful day.

Me and Dust got him this chocolate bunny that is almost as big as him

Milestones

He found his hands! This little guy passes each milestone babys are expected to pass with flying colors. since the day he was born he could lift his head, he is already trying to stand up and straighten them legs all the time. He was smiling at a few weeks. Put him in a new environment and it is entertaining to watch him stare people down with this so serious look trying to figure it all out. But this hand thing... is just down right halarious. He bunches his hands up in a fist, throws them around in front of him until he finds them, freezes up then jerks them straight into his mouth as if he wants to eat them. It's almost like a giving a dog a bone. He just sits there and knaws on it, sometimes making himself gag. Before you think im some mean ass mom standing by laughing (well i do laugh at him) I do try to help the kid out and give him his binky that he refuses. I guess he likes the challange?

Hello all!

While the bambino is taking him a nap I'm going to just jot down a few things about me and my life... here goes.....

I thaught about just copying and pasting my myspace and facebook info but i thaught that would be a little lazy and cheezy. Plus i have to excersize my brain a little bit further than all this baby talk i do all day. Not that it doesn't bring me the most peace i'v ever known, but if i dont watch it my speech would eventualy consist of goo goo's and toungue rolls. So with that i can start off with.... I am a stay at home mommy to my first baby, Little Conner Alan, he is so easy to fall in love with. He is 3 months old and growing so fast. Working full time since 15 it is different staying at home, not that the little booger dont keep me busy, but i have definatly reconnected with my creative side being home. I am married ( 9/20/08) to My Dustin Alan who is as honest and true as they come, he has the melt me kinda smile. We live on the family farm with our hound dog that is just awesome. We both hope to have more babies. I have a younger brother, I have my sis Whitney. I have the most awesome mom anyone could ask for she is definatly a best friend. My Daddy rest his soul in heaven since 12/31/04 we miss him everyday and it is still a struggle for all of us to believe he is acualy gone but have come to peace knowing we will see him again. I am a christian that dont go to church enough. I try to look at life to be so simple even though we can all agree its very tough at times. To make yourself happy or miserable takes the same effort on your part, so why shouldn't everyone be happy all the time? I'm a flower child at heart if you can't tell already. i try to maintain peace and sanity at all times. I want to make this blog interesting for all. I plan to write and photograph about my every day life. Food, Crafts, Outings with the family, the farm life, marraige and love, and whatever else might come to mind, mostly i think this will evolve around the stay at home mommy life and my little boy! I have done all the reading and researching a girl can do when it comes to pregnancy and raising a baby but there is nothing like hearing personal experience, this is what i hope to share and learn from others here.
